“I was trained in October 2015 and started commercial production in February 2016. Currently I am producing 1000 bottles. I have a dream to increase my supply to supermarkets and shops – getting UNBS certification and improve on my bottle branding,” Betty explains.
Inspired by the training she has got from the Fruits and Vegetable Department, Betty Kasiriri Businge has embarked on a journey to foster her cottage enterprise Praise Beverages producing Mama Kashera.
According to Betty making bushera out of sorghum has always run in the family however coming to the Uganda Industrial Research Institute for product improvement, has greatly enhanced her product.
